Description: For your consideration is this grouping of four Chinese Mudmen, fishermen, all in traditional pose with striking facial expressions. Each intricately handcrafted and molded believed to be made in the Wanjiang district of Guangdong province, and dating to around the 1970's with the markings 'CHINA / Wanjiang' is incised into the bases. All four of these figures have a hole in the bottom of the base that extends up inside the figure and was used by the craftsman to form or shape their work around their finger, hand, or stick. None of these Fishermen have their fishing poles, and the smaller figurine that is standing holding the fishes in his right hand looks like it had been repaired at some point; otherwise, they all look to be in great condition as none of the delicate Fu Manchu moustaches or beards have broken off. That being said, this is A true Vintage item - previously owned and displayed/used; has been carefully cleaned and wrapped. Items may show signs of age/wear/patina. *** Please review photographs closely for condition of vintage/used items *** Please Note: Vintage is defined as at least 20 years old but less than 100 years old. The term "true vintage" is a sub-category for items that are at least 50 years old.
