Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely Gorham Sterling Silver berry spoon in the LANCASTER pattern issued in 1897. This design features a nicely embossed rose garland design in relief on the handle end and with beading around the stem. At the end of the stem is a large shell design that extend downward into the scalloped spoon. Engraved "Norman & Alice" at top of stem. Marked with the Gorham hallmarks and "Sterling". Also is stamped with the initials of the distributor "H F & S". The Gorham Silver Company has been in business in Providence RI since 1865. Measures 9" long. Weighs 72 grams. The spoon is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minor signs of wear.
