Description: Vintage GORHAM Crystal "Cherrywood Clear" Fine Crystal Stemware. Available are Water Goblets, Wine Glasses, Cordial (Apertif) Glasses, Liquor Cocktail Glasses, and Brandy Glasses. The Champagne Flutes in the accompanying photos have all been sold.. Pattern Description: Blown Glass, Cut Criss-Cross & Fan Design On Bowl. Discontinued. This line of fine glassware was made by NACHTMANN in Germany. It was sold and marketed by both Gorham as "Cherrywood Clear" and by Nachtmann under the "Nierstein" pattern name. In 1967 after Gorham was acquired by Textron, they ceased manufacturing of their own products. Thus these two brands and patterns are identical, because Gorham (in the USA) imported this style of crystal glassware made by Nachtmann. Nachtmann produced and sold this Nierstein pattern from 1965 until 1986, while Gorham sold the Cherrywood Clear style from 1960 until 1999. Condition: All are in Excellent Vintage condition with bright shine and no chips. Please see the photos. Each glass is priced individually.
