Description: I received this kimono and several others that I'll be listing from Becky of the Silk and Bones blog. She gets first pick from my sales/trade items and I received these and several others on our latest trade. I don't normally sell any of these. I have the sister of this kimono available as well, please see the rest of my listings if you're looking for its kasane sister to purchase together. :) This is a beautiful deep wine purple irotomesode kimono. Absolutely luscious piece. We've got absolutely glorious rangiku ( spider mum ) combined with the cutest of ducks. Some lovely narcissus/daffodil complete this piece. Overall condition is exceptional; there's only a few small marks; the body's color is just delicious and even throughout. There's so much delightful sagara knotwork on this; some nice gold embroidery too. Big tsuta ( ivy ) crests on this. This is transitional Taisho to Showa era stuff; but I would guess this is more towards Taisho than Showa. Super soft, crepe-y kinsha silk. Measurements are really good on this one, it's not big but it's not tiny either. There are a few pulls to the silk here and there. Absolutely wearable antique. This classifies as Iro-tomesode or Sanpogi; it has three crests; it is part of a kasane set; the 'upper' 'outer' piece is also listed that has 5 crests, this one would be worn under or used in less-formal events and function more as a houmongi or sanpogi. Measurements are listed below. If you're looking for a flat measurement to wear as a robe or cardigan; please multiple the backwidth by 2 and that will give you your flat pit to pit measurement to some extent beyond this; the kimono is adjustable; but I get a plethora of people looking for a robe and don't understand that traditional kimono is not like a western garment in having chest-waist-hip measurements; it is all straight up and down. Thank you for understanding. Length: 156cmYuki: 63cmSleeve length: 62cmFront width: 23cm / 30cm I only ship within the continental US + Alaska + Hawaii. I cannot ship to APO/military bases overseas. I do not deal with customs forms at all, this is just a side thing I do for enjoyment, and international shipping just gives me really big anxiety. I also do not have a printer and overseas prepaid labels require a printer and cannot be generated with a QR code which is how I ship all my packages via USPS. Thank you for understanding.
