Description: Up for bid is a nice New York fiddle pattern coin silver teaspoon by Peter Griffen of Albany and New York City. The spoon is 6 1/8 inches long and weighs 19 grams. The spoon has a swaged arch drop, large flared shoulders and a downturned fiddle handle. The spoon is monogrammed “AEH” (possibly) on the handle front. The spoon is marked [P.GRIFFEN] in a serrated rectangle with a separate bust stamp as shown. Condition on the spoon is fairly good. There is very minor bowl tip wear, some stubborn spots and normal wear. A nice piece!
