Description: Goebel M.I. Hummel # 110 (I Believe number is actually 110/1) "Let's Sing" - 3.5" Tall - Early Full Bee (TMK-2) with "WG" (TMK-1) - Stamped "Copr. W. Goebel" & "Germany" - Master Painter "V" (Karl Vogt) - Closed Edition. HUM 110 Let's Sing - TMK-2+1 Height 3.5" This hummel was originally modeled by Master Sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1938. There are three number/size variations, 110, 110/0 & 110/1. Due to the miniature sized base, the incised number is faded and unverifiable. I believe this example to be 110/1 because of the 3.5" height. 110/0 has a maximum height of 3.25" and solid number 110 has a height of 4" listed in all of the catalogs. This was my sole basis of determination. Please view pictures closely to assess for yourself. If indeed this is 110/1, as I believe it to be, the first available trademark is the Full Bee TMK-2, as shown here, along with the Early "WG" TMK-1 located above the Hummel signature. Clearly this is an early version, dating the figurine to circa 1950. "Let's Sing" sold for $6.00 on old 1955 price list! This is a closed edition. See below for the specifications/variations on this hummel: Has Full Bee Trademark (TMK-2) stamped in Blue on underside of base. Stamped "Germany" in black on underside of base. Has faded, difficult to distinguish, hummel number incised on bottom of base and "M.I. Hummel" signature incised on the rear side of figurine, on back of boy's pants. Incised "WG" (TMK-1) above Hummel signature. (Early Version) "Copr. W. Goebel"stamped in Blue on underside of base. Hand-signed Initial "V" in black on underside of base by Master Painter, presumably Karl Vogt per mihummel.org Master Painter pictured list. Hummel stands at 3.5" tall and 3" long. No paint loss/flakes on the legs, socks and shoes that sit upon the surface! Excellent condition considering those areas are typically difficult to avoid abrasions throughout seven decades. Colors are Strong and do retain Gloss. Closed Edition. Hummel is in Excellent condition for it's age! No Crazing! No Touch Ups! No Repairs! No Chips! It may have some dust from sitting in the China Cabinet for several decades. I certainly did not want to damage it inadvertently by cleaning it.
