This Booster is an exact copy of the Delco style OEM Booster and has a great Zinc Chromate Finish. A great addition to your GM vehicle. The kit includes nuts, washers and a clevis. This kit also includes a GM Master Cylinder with built in bleeders. This cylinder has a 1" Bore. This is set up for Disc Disc applications. *A DISC BRAKE COMBINATION VALVE IS A NECESSITY WHEN YOU ARE DOING A DRUM TO DISC CONVERSION. THE COMBINATION VALVE WILL PROVIDE ALL THE VALVING NECESSARY IN THE SYSTEM. THE VALVES WE PROVIDE WILL PERFORM FOUR FUNCTIONS: PROPORTIONING PROPER PROPORTIONING IN A DISC/DRUM SYSTEM WILL PREVENT THE REAR DRUM BRAKES FROM LOCKING UP UNDER A HARD BRAKING CONDITION. AS MORE FORCE IS APPLIED TO THE BRAKES AND THE CAR LEANS FOWARD, LESS BRAKING FORCE IS NEEDED IN THE REAR. THE PROPORTIONING FUNCTION OF THE VALVE WILL DECREASE THE PRESSURE TRANSFERRED TO THE REAR PREVENTING REAR LOCK UP. PROPORTIONING FOR A DISC/DISC SET UP IS DIFFERENT FROM THAT NEEDED FOR A DISC/DRUM SYSTEM. THE 4 WHEEL DISC VALVE HANDLES THIS CORRECTLY. METERING METERING IS USED IN THE FRONT DISC BRAKE PORTION OF THE DISC/DRUM SYSTEM TO DELAY THE APPLICATION OF THE FRONT DISCS SLIGHTLY ALLOWING THE SLOWER REACTING DRUM BRAKES TO CATCH UP AND CONTRIBUIT TO THE BRAKING. THIS WILL PROVIDE REAR STABILITY ON WET SURFACES AND PREVENT EXCESSIVE FRONT PAD WEAR. THERE IS NO METERING PORTION OF THE COMBINATION VALVE FOR A DISC/DISC APPLICATION. SYSTEM FAILURE WARNING OUR COMBINATION VALVE INCORPORATES A SYSTEM FAILURE SWITCH WHICH WILL ALERT YOU WHEN ONE HALF OF YOUR BRAKING SYSTEM IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. 100% brand new, not rebuilt.
