Description: This is an original GM simulated walnut wood steering wheel. This wheel was optional 3 spoke wood wheel for 67-68 Camaros, Chevelles,Novas, Corvairs, Impala, and the standard wheel on 67-68 Corvettes. It is also very similar to the standard equipment on 64-66 Corvettes. I believe this same wheel was also optional on some Buick and Olds models. The difference between the 64-66 wheel and the 67-68 wheel is the way the spokes connect at the hub mounting area. The 64-66 wheel spokes are all one piece, the 67-68 spokes are a 2 piece design due to the safety "enhancements" made by Uncle Sam in the 1967 model year. Other than this hub mounting design that will be hidden when installed, this wheel is identical to the 64-66 wheel in size, color, and design. . Finding a nice original one of these wheels is near impossible today. The hub, horn parts, and cap are not included but are readily available from restoration parts houses at reasonable prices. The most important part is finding a nice original wheels since the reproductions are a joke.This is a nice original GM wheel. This wheel must have been taken off a car very early in life. The rim has a deep, vibrant color with excellent grain. The wheel is straight and true with no bends or bowing. The rim does have one crack at the 6 o clock position as shown. It is small but does exist. It is a bummer that the crack is there but the wheel would be more than twice the price if the cracks was not there. The crack is not very noticable as it is and would vertually disappear if filled in. The stainless spokes are also in very nice shape with no damage. . This wheel measures about 16 inches in diameter and has a 4 inch dish. This is one sweet original GM wheel. If you have been waiting for an very nice original wheel, your wait is finally over!
