Description: These six Gien Volupte salad/dessert plates are 8 1/2 inches in diameter and are in very good condition. They show no signs of wear on the upper surfaces. There is some light crazing on the undersides of several of the plates. The presence of this crazing is consistent with the likely age of these plates. These plates bear the Gien backstamp as well as the "story" in French of the creation of this pattern (see photos). This listing also includes the original box for these plates as well as the accompanying leaflet that provides translations (including English) of the "story" (see photos).
