Description: Pictured is an uncommon stoneware advertising jug from eastern Pennsylvania. The jug advertises two different cities with their street addresses. The one gallon jug is stenciled in black with a window pane border "YEAKEL'S FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC Food Specialties -- GERMANTOWN, 5906-08 Gtn. Ave. -- FRANKFORD, 4664 Frankford Ave. -- PHILADELPHIA". It measures 11 1/2" in height and dates from 1895 - 1920. It's in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs whatsoever. The jug is incised with the maker's mark on the backside base "SHERWOOD BROS, POTTERY -- NEW BRIGHTON, PA.".
