Description: Georgian, George Ill, Old Sheffield Plate Argyle, circa 1800. Raised on a circular pedestal foot with beaded detail. The domed pull off cover with disc & orb finial. Carved wood handle and short spout. The Argyle would have been used to serve gravy and would originally have held a hot water tube inside the main body. It measures about 6-1/4” tall and 6” handle to spout. In very good condition with some light copper bleed. The handle has an old repair that is very subtle, as can be seen in the photos.
