Description: George Borgfeldt Liza Cranberry Water Goblet (s) Optic Flared Bowl Handblown This lovely handblown glassware began production in 1958. The optic bowl is cranberry and the twisted stem and foot are clear. This pattern is easily confused with the company’s Lisa pattern, which was launched the same year, also with a twisted stem and a cranberry version. A key difference is the stem: the Liza stems have a looser twist than the Lisa stems. The Liza bowl is flared out, as opposed to the straight sides of the Lisa bowl. (I have some Lisa pieces in separate listings.) As with all handblown glassware, you may find a tiny bubble in the glass. These water goblets have minor variations to the intensity of color and thickness of the sides of the bowl. They have been in storage for a while, so they may need further cleaning to have them looking their best. I have two levels of condition available for these water goblets, so please read the details below about each. No chips, cracks, or repairs. 6-1/4” tall, 3-5/8” diameter Condition 1: There are a few light scratches. The interiors have moisture stains that cover almost all of the interior but are only obvious when held up to a light. The bases have minor wear. Condition 2: As Condition 1 but there may be a couple of small white specks on the outside of the bowl or an imperfection in the lower bowl that is dark.I have more of this pattern in my eBay store.
