The center sapphire is a deep blue-black. It is an 8X6mm oval cut stone and it weighs 1.8cts. As with most natural sapphires, these stones do have some inclusions. On either side of the center stone glitter three 1.5mm round cut pink sapphires (6 pink sapphires total). The sterling silver setting shows off the stones nicely, and all of the sapphires together add up to 2.1cts. The genuine sterling silver used in this piece of jewelry is nickel-free. In addition, the sterling silver is platinum plated to help reduce tarnishing, and to ensure an even shine. Re-sizing is not recommended, and can damage the platinum plating.
