Description: General Dynamics GD2000 Rugged Laptop Base System These DO NOT include Hard Drive, Battery, AC Adapter, WiFi or Bluetooth. Please be aware that working batteries are very hard to find for these units. WiFi and Bluetooth are relatively easy to add as the internal antennae are already in place for them. For hard drive you can use most Micro SATA SSD's and it does not require any special brackets. AC adapters are easy to find. These include 2GB RAM and GPS. These are surplus base systems from an ongoing OEM project. We have far more spare base units than we need as they have been much more reliable than we originally calculated. We use these base systems when we have RMA's so the customer can simply move their hard drive and battery into the new base and be up and running as quickly as possible. If you have an existing broken GD2000 these are ideal replacements. If you are looking for rugged laptops for a new deployment, contact us and we can create you a custom listing for a newer model.
