Lot of 6 Antique Genealogy / Family Tree History Descendants books that belong together as these Family Trees are entwined. These books came from a woman who did a lifetime of extremely extensive research into these families and finding resources, making notes... and I am honoring her wishes, as indicated in the books, to keep these family volumes together where they belong. They are fascinating to me! There was so much love and respect for family and a lifetime dedication that was poured into these. I am absolutely gobsmacked. Included in this 6 Antique Book lot:1. Antique Patterned Notebook: This one in particular - a patterned notebook with a threaded spine that's fully intact - that calls to me as something so precious that must have been a constant companion of its author, really pulls at my heart strings - that is so incredibly full of detailed information, all in hand-written calligraphy with a quill & ink, with birth dates reaching back to 1700! Some of the information even states the birth weights - and birth times ("2 and 1/2 o'clock" as opposed to 2:30 etc), place of birth, heights, Date of death, Place of Death, Cause of Death (old timey names like consumption, scarlet fever, typhoid, dropsy, insanity, pleurisy, lung fever, bilious fever), place of internment, Who they were married to, Where they married, notes from their cemetery headstone like if they had a particular bible verse noted there, notes indicating they were a soldier in particular Battles.etc. I know we're not supposed to pick favorites but I just love the complete essence of this book. 2. Antique 1883 - 141 Years Old! - History of the Town of Shirley, Massachusetts: From Its Early Settlement to A.D. 1882 By Seth Chandler. Illustrated with family member portraits of the following family names: Garfield, Walker-Garfield, Egerton, Page, Putnam, Goodrich, Longley, Lawton, Holden, Hazen, Clark, Brown, Whitney, Parker and Author Rev Seth Chandler. Drawn illustrations, photos of places of importance.3. & 4. Antique 1887 - 137 Years Old! - Walker Genealogy A Record of the Walker Families of Shirley Massachusetts And Their Descendants - 2 copies - One was bound and is in better condition due to the protective cover. The other is the paper copy that is tattered but is all legible. There are all sorts of papers, notes, documents included inside these books like handwritten letters from early 1900s. 5. & 6. Antique 1901 - 123 Years Old! - Memoranda of the Stearns Family and Descendants By Williard E. Stearns - 2 copies. One copy has a stamp in the front that states it is from the Estate of Williard E Stearns and in the book's Introduction, it states that he made a list of friends, a few weeks before his death, to which he wanted this book distributed to. In the back of the book, there is a Name Index for all of the Stearns family as well as at Index to Names Other Than Stearns.
