Share the magic! ****** COLLECTION LIQUIDATION --I am helping a magic friend sell most of his collection, (and I already had a ton of magic I was trying to get listed!) so I am putting his Collection items in this separate eBay store category, and I will probably not be saying too much about the items. I will give a few good photos, and I will give a quick assessment of the item. If you know your magic, you will recognize many items and know they are a great deal here. Or if you don't know the item, you may have to do a bit of online research to find out about it. Or you can just trust my honest (though quick) assessment of any item -- I always endeavor to tell you the good and the bad of anything I sell.Message me if you are seriously considering buying something , and want a bit more info on it. Happy to help. And keep checking the "COLLECTION LIQUIDATION" category of my ebay store, as I will be adding more items all the time! MEXICAN MONTE and other tricks -- by Karl Fulves, The Gutenberg Press original 1972 1st editionIn the early days of the 1970's packet magic boom, there were some important booklets exploring card techniques that could be applied specifically to small packets of cards. Karl Fulves' MEXICAN MONTE booklet was one such treatise, and certainly one of the most influential. The 31 page booklet details techniques for counting and spreading a small packet, strongly influenced by the (then) newly emerging Ascanio Spread. Fulves Mexican Monte techniques morphed into the (less natural, less casual) "Partial Ascanio" display, which was a key sleight in many of the era's best packet tricks. But learning Fulves' original handling of the technique will serve any serious cardman well. The book is in great shape -- very clean and undamaged and unmarked, just a bit of price sticker residue inside the front cover, and some very light fading on the spine. This booklet is very-hard to find these days, and coveted by serious cardworkers and magic book collectors.See the photo of sample page shot(s) to give you an idea of illustration and format style.Recent sale prices of the booklet (in lesser conditions) range from $30-$45. I'll list this very nice example in the middle of that range.CONDITION NOTES: previously owned, but very good shape -- the book is very clean, undamaged and unmarked. Spot of price sticker residue inside front cover. Minor fading on the spine.
