Description: Made in Japan, unused but has the scuffs characteristic of small folding knives. There is a YAX stamp on the tang. I believe it was manufactured in the 1980s. This is a product of Fujimoto Knife Manufacturing, which was operated by Yasuhiro Fujimoto, a master craftsman of the Showa period. These knives are handmade by craftsmen, so called “Tokyo Knives,” but because of their high quality, they are excellent products that would be classified as semi-custom knives today. Handle: 78mm, Main blade: 60mm, Material: Carbon steel, Metal handle. Knife body only. (No paper box or other items included.) [Note on care] Since it is made of hagane steel, the sharpness lasts longer, but it has the weakness that it easily rusts. Never leave it wet with water or store it in a damp place. To prevent rust from occurring, it is effective to keep it in a dry place and occasionally apply oil to the surface.
