Description: This is an authentic key from the old Hendricks County (IN) which was in operation from 1974 until early this year. The brand new jail sits across the street from the old. Since the old jail's closing it has been liquidated via auctions, gutted of anything of value or importance and is ready for the demolition phase. I have been very fortunate to acquire some items from it, hence the keys I have. These old keys had been jingling around through the hands of countless correctional officers for decades and if they could talk they would have a plethora of wild stories. This is your chance to own one of the last relics of this old jail. This particular key for room 277 which is marked as such. I do not know ow what room 277 was.
