Drosera lovelae is one of the larger rosette style sundews, and is part of the Drosera Spatulata Species Complex. Drosera Spatulata has a wide growing range with several closely related varieties. Spoon shape leaves with variability in shape and size depending on the variety. -Grows to about 4 - 5 inches in diameter -Fast grower when fed often. -Turns a deep red wine color under intense light. -White flowers on short to medium size stalks. -No dormancy required for this plant to thrive longterm. Sowing seeds -Easy to germinate and grow. -Seeds germinate in 2 to 6 weeks. -Sow on top of wet carnivorous growing media, of equal parts peat:perlite or peat:sand or on long fiber sphagnum moss. -Place in a bright location or under grow lights. -Temperatures between 60-80 degrees will increase germination time and success rate. -Some people like cover the container or pot with plastic food wrap or placed in a bag, to help maintain high humidity and to keep fungus larvae from eating seedlings roots. Uncover and air out for 15 minutes every 3 to 4 days, if you cover them. Care recommendations Light -Full to part sun, -Under grow lights for 10-16 hours. -On Bright sunny windowsill, preferably with 4plus hours of direct sunlight. -Increase light if they seem to stretch. Water *Always recommended to water with rain, distilled, or reverse.
