Description: Description: Here for auction is this antique 19th C French plate with scenic view of Rue de la Vieille Gros Horloge built in the 14th C. The plate carries the mid 19th C L&M logo shown. This is very rare plate, if you can find it at all. Very detailed. Condition: Excellent. No chips, crack or repairs! Please view all of the images, as they are part of this description. Dimensions: approx. 12 3/4" in diameter. In 1840 the Creil factory merged with Montereau and the companies became "Creil and Montereau Faïenceries" under the name Lebeuf, Milliet & Co. (LM & Co.) until 1876. The production of the two earthenware factories remains similar until 1895, the year the factory in Creil closes after a fire. Production with the mark Creil et Montereau continues until 1920. Between 1920 and 1955, the mark "Hippolyte Boulanger Creil et Montereau" (HBCM) is used.The Gros-Horloge (English: Great-Clock) is a 14th century astronomical clock in Rouen, Normandy.
