Description: This small painting shows a winter landscape that you might see as you wander through the woods on a snowy day. Bare trees are beside a rocky stream and a mountain can be seen through the tree branches. It is oil on board. It is signed Erickson in the lower left corner and dated 1954. The painting measures 10" x 8" and with frame it measures 14 1/4" x 11 5/8". The painting is loosely in the frame with tape. But the frame and painting are in good vintage condition. Frank Erickson (1922-1989) is listed in the Dictionary of Utah Art (1980) as "a Utah painter of the present period," who "has shown his work at Phranque's Gallery," in Salt Lake City. Frank Erickson is an oil painter of impressionist landscapes, illustrator, environmentalist, and teacher. **See my eBay listings for two more small winter landscapes done by Erickson purchasd together from the same estate.**We guarantee all of our Native American Indian items to be AUTHENTIC American Indian traditional arts. **To see more vintage Paintings or Native American jewelry, Pottery and Baskets, please visit our eBay store.
