Description: On offer is this wonderful group of four antique Wedgwood black basalt intaglio/cameos.Framed in a birdseye maple veneered frame - each intaglio represents an ancient Roman personality. Three of them are named: Left to right - Antinous, Gallienus, Aurelian, with the fourth being unmarked.Based on research of similar intaglio, I believe that these date to pre Josiah Wedgwood's death in 1795 (although I cannot be definitive as they are in the frame).Each intaglio measures approx 4.5cm x 3.8cm. Dimensions (frame): 35.5cm x 18.5cm. Raw unpackaged weight of 570g.The intaglio themselves are in very good antique condition. There are some losses to the veneer of the frame Please consider photos.
