Description: Set of 4 Vintage K & A Krautheim Selb Bavaria Germany Gold Filigree Floral Dessert Plates. These fine porcelain plates feature a scalloped gold rim with a filigree pattern, a gold inner circle and a floral center. They each measure 7" in Width. The green printed K & A Krautheim maker's mark is dated from 1922-1945 (page 65 of Kovel's Dictionary of Marks). After 1945, the word Franconia was added to the mark. In research, I've not been able to find another set like this and assume it is probably a discontinued pattern. Despite the age of these plates, they have no flaws. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. The plate soles show very little shelf wear. The gold filigree also shows very little wear. These are excellent! Thank you for looking.
