Description: For sale we have a fossil palate section with teeth of a Horse, Mesohippus bairdi. This specimen was personally collected from my ranch in Nebraska. Mesohippus, was very different from modern horses. Not only were they much smaller in size but mesohippus had three toes instead of one hoof. They lived from the Eocene through the Oligocene. This specimen was collected from the Chadron and Brule formations of the white river group, making them Eocene to Oligocene in age. This piece would be a perfect addition to a fossil collection.
