Description: Formula One F1 WMRAC The Dog House Owners Club Commemorative Plate. VERY RARE ITEM! I've never seen another one like it in over 30 years. It's unlikely you'll ever see another one. Made by a company called Stavangerflint in Norway in the early 1960's (I think 1961 or 1962). That means it's pushing 60 years old. The Dog House Owners Club A.K.A The Women's Motor Racing Associates Club was started in the early 1960's by the wives and girlfriends of drivers to raise money for good causes. The plate has 12 facsimile signatures and I think I've identified all 12 (with help from flick1820): Jim Clark, John Surtees, Bruce McLaren, Stirling Moss, Jack Fairman, Graham Hill, Innes Ireland, Roy Salvadori, Ian Burgess, Trevor Taylor, Jack Sears and Jack Brabham. If anyone thinks any of the names might be incorrect please let me know. :) They've produced a few similar commemorative plates but I believe this to be the first one (one of the first batch). I think three of the drivers whose signatures are on the plate never raced in F1 after 1962 so logic says it was made in 1962 or before. But that's a guess.
