Description: Brick hand-tied wool patch, cotton backed 1930's / 40's? (possibly earlier?) vintage quilt, hand stitched, with hand embroidered accents and initials. Unique multicolored embroidered handiwork stitching throughout top. Initials embroidered " S H M " in center.Measures 70" X 54" and is in good condition, with the occasional moth nibbles, tears and popped stitches. The back is blue cotton chambray or light denim? fabric, binding are olive green, and the batting is of medium thickness. The quilt was from a Pennsylvania estate. Please examine photos carefully, I've photograph areas of damage, wear, stains. Contact me for additional pix or information. This has not been laundered it smells a bit musty and could use a good airing. No returns
