FLEUR DE LIS ? Antique Black Glass BUTTON, 1800s Intaglio Design, Large

Description: Antique clothing button was probably produced in the 1800s or early 1900s. The button is made of black glass which has an impressed or intaglio design -- the main design is molded on a flat, polished, upper surface. The scene depicts some sort of symbol -- it looks sort of like a FLEUR DE LIS on the top portion, but the bottom part is not right. Anyone know what this symbol is? There is a brass loop shank embedded in the back. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG/VG+..... The button may have light surface wear and there are some small dings along the edges -- but there are no cracks, larger chips, or other more serious flaws. It is overall in nice shape and it will display quite well.
