The division received its baptism of fire in the summer of 2015, during the defense of the Donetsk airport and its adjacent areas. In 2022, the division participated in repelling a full-scale Russian invasion. In 2023, the division was reformed into a brigade. The brigade fought in the Zaporozhye direction.
