The upper sleeve, hood and shoulder area has been impregnated with Fjallraven's Greenland Wax; so, there maybe some white wax residue showing where the seams are in the photos, but are not noticeable. Those aren't fading or discolorations, as there are none. To remove Greenland Wax: Simply put the jacket through a wash cycle. To reapply Greenland Wax: There are many youtube videos available. In gist, rub the wax onto desired area, then use a air dryer to melt the wax into fabric. This would make the area windproof and water resistant. This is an excellent piece of gear. It is durable and versatile. It is more on the slim fitting side, great for around-town wear.
