It works at times, and when we removed batteries and inserted again for all features/sounds, etc. to describe, sometimes would not work. Selling as non-working not sure if the mechanism/seat area? Battery compartment is very clean. When it was tested and in working it plays Jingle Bells, Santa Says Ho Ho Ho and press again for toot train sound. Selling as non-working. As the see saw car rolls along see saw moves up and down and the door will open on the side (as shown in photos).The last car with elf and reindeer figure. Elf will spin as the train rolls along and green basket with candy graphics will swing back and forth.Dated 2002 on the front book. This is a very interactive book with many flaps to lift. Most have not been lifted and there is a crease across the one flap with the girl/ladder/putting star on tree. Please do not purchase if this is a concern for you. Great graphics and variety on the pages. Pages all represented in photos with Christmas theme home scene, North Pole Workshop with Elves, Winter outdoors, Children at the store/mall scene and the advent calendar on the last pages with the numbered door flaps. One of the better Fisher Price quality items and with great learning/activity book. Characters on front of book resemble characters included with the train(exception jester on book/elf with train).
