The metal straps are hand hammered, one at a time the old fashioned way on an anvil, and the 1.25" nails are hand struck into a pyramid shape so that no two are alike. Each Montana beam is individually cut, sized and distressed by hand on the same workbench that that my grandfather built 84+ years ago. (I love this stuff, can you tell?)For four generations now (my son is now learning the trade) we've been designing and manufacturing mantels, wall shelves, cabinetry, custom furniture and art pieces in our studio/shop, located in the Rocky Mountains. I love it that we have traditions and history surrounding our business and that it's grown into such an incredibly creative outlet.
