Webb, 22nd Infantry.Travel Voucher for Haganwright and signed by him - from Whitestone Agency to Fort Dakota, D.T.Fort Dakota (originally Fort Brookings) was established in May of 1865 by the 6th Iowa Cavalry. Taken over by the U.S. Army shortly after and abandoned in 1869. The document lot is a rare reference to this short-lived post. Whitestone Agency, D.T. 1869 (also called Spotted Tail Agency after 1874) was on the Missouri River & mouth of Whitestone Creek. VG-Fine condition.
