The signs lighting can be turned up very bright... or turned down to a very dim setting and anywhere in between. The remote has buttons to control the sensitivity (to movement)... when no movement is detected in the room, the sign will automatically turn off. That can be adjusted from 30 seconds to 30 min. *This is one of the nicest features... as you can drive into your garage and the motion sensor automatically senses movement and will turn the sign on for you. Get out of your car (enjoy your lighted sign) walk through the garage into your house, the sign will automatically turn off. I cannot imagine anybody wanting to flip a light switch (or go turn the sign on manually) then have to go turn it off when you're done looking at it. I have the wooden crate the sign was originally shipped to me from Europe, that I'll use for shipping to you. A nice safe crate.
