Description: Fenton Company Hand Made Opal Iridescent White Glass Basket. Hand Painted! Mint! This glass Fenton Company basket is hand painted by artist Pam Fleak. It is a very hard to find art piece. In the 1950s, company President Frank M. Fenton and his brother Bill Fenton, Vice-President, decided that each Fenton basket handler should have a distinctive mark so collectors could identify the artisan who created their basket. These marks are impressed at the base of each side of the basket handle. With sparkling berries and leaves on 4 sides and hand signed by the artist it is a superb addition to any collection! No scratches, chips, or cracks. A fine display piece or center piece. As of 2011, the company is no longer making glass art. This is a large basket 10 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide at the widest point. A RARE FIND!
