The Jazz Bass debuted in 1960 and was instantly favored by the new crop of bassists that wanted to be more out-front. There are few bassists as iconic as Geddy Lee, his tone and style have influenced generations of players. His Fender Jazz is the instrument he chooses to create that famous tone. The alder body and maple neck create the basis for that vintage Jazz tone- full body, great mids, and note articulation. This tone is furthered by the Bad Ass large mass bridge enabling great resonance. Dual Jazz Vintage single coil pickups have the clean punch and growl you look for in a Jazz. Each has its own volume control so you can mix them perfectly. A world of classic and modern Jazz tone are a knob away. The neck features a comfortable thin C profile- .75"-.85" 1st to 12th fret neck depth. The vintage 7.25" radius retains the feel of the original Jazz bass. An incredible player. The look here is classy- inky black finish, black fretboard binding, black block fret markers, white guard, and chrome hardware. This bass is in good overall condition as you can see in pics- typical marks from normal use. The frets are clean- set up with action of just about 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
