The story involves the return of two mercenaries (Bronson and Delon) to Marseilles from a war in Algeria. The two become embroiled in a plot to steal two million francs from an office building with help of a beautiful woman whose lover Delon had accidentally killed in Algeria when he mistook the man for the enemy. However, the woman (Olga Georges-Picot) has planned to use Delon as a patsy, murdering a guard while he and Bronson are locked inside the building. The film then becomes a desperate attempt to avoid the police while proving Delon innocent. 2) RIDER ON THE RAIN (1970):French filmmaker Rene Clement's RIDER ON THE RAIN is the best Charles Bronson film that much of America never saw.
