Description: I do not think I have ever seen a piece this large by Beit Hoyster. I have enjoyed this bowl for many years and it is time to find a new home. It is massive 17" across, handle to handle, 4" high, and weighs 6 and 1/2 pounds, just incredible. Wonderful mid century design and beautifully crafted. Aharon Kahana - who founded "Beit Hayotzer" Artisan's Workshop Haifa, which was so large he employed three assistant potters—succeeded in defining a widespread style that combined modernist abstraction with decorative folk motifs. This combination succeeded in "returning art to the people and "making use of many shapes, which had been unacceptable in the eyes of the viewers, as decoration for ceramic creations.
