Description: Highly collectable early hardback edition with copy dustwrapper. Published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1952. This is the sixth impression of first edition. Nice illustrations by Eileen Soper, including a colour frontispiece which doesnt appear in the later editions. BOOK CONDITION - REASONABLE DUSTWRAPPER CONDITION - PHOTOCOPY Red boards have slight marking and a small number written on front. There is a little bumping on corners and spine has a lean and a crease. The front and back flaps of the original dustwrapper are still present and have been taped onto the boards. Inscription inside. Pages have some tanning/foxing. Pages all intact. Dustwrapper is a photocopy of an original wrapper which had a couple of tiny chips on corners and a little piece missing from top of spine.
