Description: Antique Nineteenth Century David B. Bechtel Oil Painting on Canvas portrait of Chickens and Mice 1890 - 1920’s. This painting was discovered in a safe vault with a Picasso “Boy with a Pipe” painting under Park Ave and 57th street in NYC. We received the painting years ago with the intent to sell it on a later date. It’s been ten years since that day. This rare early example of David Bechtel painting was a bit larger when it was completed in the 1800’s or early 1900’s. Photos of the corners show that years ago the painting was cut down on one corner from age and condition. The previously famous owner had the painting professionally refitted and graciously offered it to us. Our antique David B Bechtel painting measures 10” X 8” and measures 12”X 10” Framed.
