Description: Supremely rare 20 January 1964 first press stereo copy of Meet the Beatles. No BMI or ASCAP credits, at all, anywhere. Recorded in England. High Fidelity Recording. Original covers have "Beatles" in a Brown print, later pressings have "Beatles" in a Olive green print.This version has NO publishing credits to BMI or ASCAP. "Produced by GEORGE MARTIN" does not appear on back cover.Label typesetting by Keystone Printed Specialties, Scranton (3) press. Sleeve is in great condition. Stiff cardboard with clear bright colours. The slightest ringwear on the front bottom. Name neatly written on rear (as pictured). Small section of delamination top left (please see last picture). This is very small. Some brown age spotting on white parts as is inevitable for old white sleeves. I am a Beatles collector and this is the best copy of this LP I have come accross, which is why I originally bought it. Original inner is in excellent condition. No splits or tears. Disc is VG+. I have used very bright LEDs to show the imperfections and taken close ups to show what I consider to be the worst bits. The light, of course, highlights them. None of these marks are tactile and the playback is amazingly good as is common for first presses. Labels are clean and bright. Overall, this is an excellent copy of this incredibly rare Beatles album and a collector's piece that will only appreciate in value.
