Description: Lot of paperback (softcover, softback) books from a local estate here in Pitman, NJ. These are from a family’s lifetime collection which included books from circa 1950 and onward.In this lot, we have: Star Shine by Fredric Brown, The Day After Tomorrow by Robert A. Heinlein, The Big Eye by Max Ehrlich, and The Syndic by C.M. Kornbluth.There must have been 1000+ books in this estate, mostly paperbacks, stored in boxes in the attic. The woman and her husband were avid readers and they had kids, so some vintage young adult titles were in the boxes, too. What stood out to me were the science fiction (SF, sci-fi) books because I like the cover art. Some were atomic / space age pulp fiction and others were more serious futuristic, etc., novels.The family also had westerns, hard-boiled crime fiction detective novels, secret agent or spy novels, young adult / juvenile delinquent books, murder / mystery / thriller, sleaze, romance, true crime stories, fantasy books (including sword and sorcery, magical, epic, high / low, dark, etc.), etc. Some of the fantasy books were set on Earth or an Earth-like world and some were set on alien planets / in outer space. Some were more in the witches / warlocks genre.The collection had a really good mix! But, with so many books, I’m unable to list them all on eBay. I picked certain paperbacks that I think are good for one reason or another and put them together in lots of 4, 6 or 8 books to offer for sale. There were only a handful that didn’t quite fit with the others in terms of genre, so I’m listing each of them as a lot of one.Most of the books from this collection are older / vintage. Some look great and some have seen better days. Some lots contain later printings. Other lots contain first printings in paperback and paperback originals (PBO) which you may consider first editions (?), out of print (OOP) books, etc.Many of the paperbacks have fun cover art such as good girl art (GGA) and Modern Art.
