Trader-BOB's MUSIC offers late 1930's to early 1940's Epitome Federated Teachers Service Corporation lap steel electric guitar. I dated it from the patent number 2132792, stamped on the inside of the Kluson Single Line deluxe tuners. Google states these were the first patented Kluson tuners, produced 1938 - 1941. I had to replace one of the black tuner buttons, was broken, the rest are fine. The replacement doesn't quite match, but you have to very close to tell. I installed tuner peg bushings, the previous owner wound the whole length of string around the spindle, and slightly damaged the wood edge, around the string spindle holes. Chrome ones, were all I had. The electronics are all original, pots lubed, no hissing, and work great. New strings, tuned "C6", other tunings are available. The small certificates are from the Federated Teachers Service Corporation, for William Cahill, for perfect attendance. Each one represents 10 weeks of guitar lessons, too bad there is no year written. She's a player, right out of the box. Read my feedback, buy with confidence!
