Description: AS NEW—-from the Gibson Custom Shop, the Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard is Epiphone’s incredible recreation of the rare vintage classic, updated to be more authentic and true to the originals than ever. Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top with a AAA flame maple veneer, a one-piece mahogany neck with a comfortable ’59 rounded, medium C profile, long neck tenon, and Gibson-style “open book” R9 headstock shape, Gibson Custombucker humbucking pickups, Switchcraft® selector switch and 1/4” output jack, CTS® pots, 50s era wiring, Mallory™ capacitors, non-beveled pickguard, Epiphone Deluxe vintage tuners with Keystone buttons, and a vintage-style brown and pink hardshell case. Bought new last year in June, had hand surgery the day before it arrived and could not play for 6 months, tested pots and pickups only (less than 10 minutes total), then stored in its case since. Paid $999 plus tax (2024 model now sells for $1299). Original factory strings, plastic film still on pickguard and rear panel cover. Will include a new set of Ernie Ball strings as courtesy. If you've been looking at this model, you're already familiar with the specs, as close as you'll get to the original 59 Gibson LP like Jimmy Page played for a fraction of the price of the 59 Gibson reissue. I'm retired and my left hand has healed but with limited use of my ring finger making it difficult to play, so I'm letting this go. It is basically brand new.
