Description: Here is a little set of books designed to aid English speakers traveling in Europe. In a nice leather case with a dual snap closure, are 4 same leather bound English/X translation dictionary/phrase books. One each for Italian, German, French and Spanish. This set is in rather good condition. Slight cracking at the rear corners of the case flap, and the German copy detached from the leather cover on one side. Otherwise just normal aging effects with the leather color. All the stitching looks good. Gold embossing is all there. It's like someone put it on a shelf and forgot about it for 70 years. They made these for a while, and I cannot find exactly when this set was made. It's MCM, I put 1950, but by the leather I think it's late 50s/very early 60s It's got a sort of Mod era feel in the snap and leather color choice.
