The set was published by Longmans, Green and Co., of London, in 1895 and is COMPLETE in Three Volumes (edition not stated). The books are in good condition for their age, pretty neat and clean, with wear to the ends of the spines and are a little grubby/bumped/worn to the original maroon cloth hardback covers. The silver on the spines is very good. Each volume has two former owner’s book-plates at the front and no other ink or pencil writing/markings in the books, with a little foxing, mostly near the covers/rims with the odd creased corner/blemish and the first few pages of volume 3 has a water stain to the side section (front endpapers up to page 9; all is readable). The bindings are good with no loose or missing pages. There are no dust-jackets. A wonderful vintage COMPLETE THREE VOLUME SET.
