The contents are bright and clean, with light toning to the edges. From the library of Dean Belden Lyman (1896-1965), a Yale Younger Poet in 1922, who went on to a distinguished academic career teaching English Literature with a focus on the 17th Century and in particular Thomas Fuller, the Divine and Historian. Professor Lyman's book, "The Great Tom Fuller, was published by the University of California in 1935. His books do occasionally contain fairly modest and neatly inked margin notes and underlining.
