ELTON JOHN AND TIM RICE'S AIDA PLAY CAST - AUTOGRAPHED SIGNED PHOTOGRAPH CO-SIGNED BY: SIR ELTON JOHN, SHERIE RENE SCOTT, ADAM PASCAL, HEATHER HEADLEY - HFSID 312986 ELTON JOHN AND TIM RICE'S AIDA PLAY CAST Sir Elton John along with his cast members, Adam Pascal, Sherie Scott and Heather Headley sign this color publicity photo Photograph Signed: "Elton John," and, "Adam Pascal," "Sherie Scott," and "Heather Headley," in black felt tip. Color, 10x8. Captioned at lower margin. AIDA portrays the story of an enslaved Nubian princess who falls in love with the captain of the guard Radames. The original cast won a Grammy in 2000 for their spectacular performance. Songwriter and performer Elton John, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947, won the 1994 Oscar for Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King, the 2000 Tony for Aida and six Grammy Awards, including the Legend Award in 1999. After scoring Top 40 hits for a remarkable 26 consecutive years, beginning in 1970, John performed Candle in the Wind at the funeral of Princess Diana (1997). Originally dedicated to Marilyn Monroe, the new version of Candle became his biggest hit ever, selling three million copies in the first week of its release. Despite scandals and controversies, Elton John just rolls on and on. His 2004 album Peachtree Road was another big hit. John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and was knighted in 1998. Twice nominated for his musical performances in the film Rent (2005), Adam Pascal (b.1970) is an American actor and singer best known for his role as 'Roger Davis' in the original cast of the Jonathan Larson Broadway hit Rent (1996) and Rent: on Broadway (2007-2009). Pascal has appeared in five popular Broadway musicals, including Chicago (1996), Memphis (2009-2012), Cabaret (1998-2004), and Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA (2000-2004)--for which he is credited with originating his role as 'Radames.' Since her Tony nomination for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Sherie Rene Scott (b. 1969) has received three more: for Best Actress in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (2011), and for both Best Actress and Best Book for Everyday Rapture (2010). She won a Drama Desk Special Award for "dedication to the preservation of musical theatre through cast recordings". Heather Headley (b.1974) is a Trinidadian-American R&B singer/songwriter and actress who has appeared in several works, including Broadway's AIDA (2000-2004) and the Lion King (1997). She is the winner of a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and her gospel soul album Audience of One earned her a Grammy win in 2010. Fine condition.
