Description: Warm greetings from Japan. Thank you very much for visiting our listing. Brand: Epiphone Model: PR-800EA Product: Electric acoustic guitar Target: Men's and women's This guitar was produced between the 1970s and 1986. Based on the model name, it is believed to be from the 1980s. The guitars produced during this period were called the "Norlin period," and there were complaints about the decline in quality, especially for Gibson. However, Epiphone was produced in Japan, which highlights its high quality. Epiphones made in Japan at the time were produced by Matsumoku Kogyo, so it is likely that this guitar was made by Matsumoku Kogyo. The impressive oval sound hole shape is reminiscent of the ancient flat mandolins made by Gibson in the 19th century. With a spruce top and mahogany sides and back, it is made of plywood, but after 40 years since its manufacture, it has matured and has a pleasant sound. There are noticeable marks and dents throughout, signs of use, and discoloration on the metal parts. The truss rod works well, and there is enough room to adjust both the forward and reverse curvature directions. The neck curvature has been adjusted with the rod, but there is some waviness overall. There is a slight reduction in the frets, but there is still enough left and it does not interfere with playing. The guitar stand is not included as it is for shooting purposes only.
