Description: This is a rare souvenir program from the five city Concert Tour of the new BENNY ANDERSSON, BJORN ULVAEUS and TIM RICE musical "CHESS" which opened October 28th, 1984 at the Barbican Centre in London, a year and a half before the stage production premiered. The production played one night in London, followed by concerts October 29th, 1984 at the La Salle Playtel in Paris, October 30th, 1984 at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Netherlands, October 31st, 1984 at the CCH Hamburg in Hamburg, Germany, closing November 1st, 1984 at the Berwaldhallen in Stockholm, Sweden. (The Original West End production would open May 14th, 1986 at London's Prince Edward Theatre and run for 1209 performances. The Original Broadway production would open April 28th, 1988 at the Imperial Theatre in New York City and close after only 68 performances.) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of minor edge wear, this rare program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
