Author Biography Antonio de Hoyos y Vinent, marqués de Vinent (Madrid, 1884 - íd. 1940), fue un periodista y narrador español, perteneciente a la corriente estética del Decadentismo. De familia aristocrática recibió una esmerada educación en Viena, Oxford y Madrid. Heredó el mayorazgo, pero su homosexualidad, que no se ocupó en ocultar, y sus defectos, que hoy pasarían por virtudes, le convirtieron en una oveja negra para la parte menos tolerante de la buena sociedad (su madre le retirará el saludo por haber colgado en el salón su colección de retratos de jóvenes pÚgiles), aunque no para su amiga e introductora en el mundillo literario, Emilia Pardo Bazán, cuya tertulia casera frecuentaba. Este bondadoso contertulio sordo de nacimiento (que obligaba o los demás a hablar por señas), dirigió la revista Gran Mundo Sport. Antes de estallar la Guerra civil, desde 1934, militó en la Federación Anarquista Ibérica (FAI).
